Rating System

Note: These ratings are how I would personally rate a novel. Everyone is different and can rate their novels quite differently to how I have.

Rating: This book was absolutely breathtaking. The characters caught my attention straight away from the start of the novel. The plot line of this book had me at the edge of the seat wanting more, after each page that I turned. The author’s writing style is another reason for the high rating. I love reading novels that are consistent, with a perfect flow. I would have been able to definitely connect with the plot and the characters. After finishing, I can’t stop thinking about it. Highly Recommended!

Rating: This book was a really entertaining read. There would be moments in the novel where it would catch me in the feels. Yet, there were moments where things could have been written differently. But, there could have also been nothing wrong with the novel. I would be able to connect with the characters and the plot. I would recommend this novel. Go read this novel!!

Rating: This novel was alright. It had its ups and downs, and were moments that I liked and did not like. This novel would have been a slow pace and flow. The characters and plot would have me with mixed emotions. There would be moments where I would connect with the characters and plot. I would be stuck between if it were my favourite novel or not.

Rating: There would be rare moments of the novel that I would like. I prefer this rating to really consist for novels that are lacking in a good plot, character development/personality and/or the writing style being difficult to read through. Rare moments where I would connect with the characters and plot itself. Would kind of recommend or re-read again.

Rating: This would be the novel that is definitely not my cup of tear. I disliked this book. It would have been quite painful for me to get through. The plot and writing style would be boring and non-consistant. I would find the characters boring/no development, and would struggle to connect with them. I would not be able to connect with the plot and characters at all. Would still recommend this novel, because who knows maybe someone else might like it.
